WHAT MANNER OF CHILD SHALL THIS BE?

 

In Luke 1:66 the above question was asked about John the Baptist.  It could well be asked of any child born today.  Parents should, like, Hannah, be willing to “give him back to the Lord.”

 

  1. He shall be great in the sight of the Lord.
    1. Luke 1:15
    2. Every child has that potential for they are made in the image of God.

 

  1. He will be what he sees---example.

 

  1. He will be what he is taught to be.  Eph. 6:4

 

  1. He will be what he chooses to be.

 

  1. He will be what he is encouraged to be.

 

Parents, teachers, all of us in the church should resolve anew to do a better job with our children.  John the Baptist was great.  Mt. 11:11
